TONY
STACE
Having entertained us on several previous occasions Tony has firmly established
himself as one of our members’ favourite artistes so what better way to open our
2009 concert season.
His vast repertoire includes music to suit all tastes and his enthusiasm, humour
and boundless energy will set your feet tapping to almost non-stop marches,
ballads, theatre organ favourites, classics and more.
February 18th JAMES SARGEANT
James visits us for the first time and may therefore be unknown to many of our
members. However, as product specialist and demonstrator for Yamaha home
keyboards and Clavinova,
he is kept busy by numerous concert performances, Yamaha dealer staff training
and appearances in Yamaha's product video presentations. He can often be seen
marketing keyboards and pianos on TV Shopping channels and
is very well known to the army of organ enthusiasts who attend organ and
keyboard festivals throughout the country.
We are delighted
to welcome Kevin back to
NEDOS
once again. This likeable and easy-going Yorkshireman has entertained us many
times in the past both here and at our Musical Weekends in Skegness and has
become a “friend of the family”.
Previously one of the team of Blackpool Tower organists, Kevin is now General
Manager and resident organist at “The Scarborough Fair Collection” - a delight
of Cinema organs, mechanical music and vintage steam engines.

The
Savoy
Hotel, Skegness.
Join us for our tenth annual weekend of good food, good company and great music
from some of the organ world’s top stars in a premier seafront hotel.
April 15th ANDREW NIX
In April 1984 a handful of keen organ enthusiasts formed
North East Derbyshire Organ Society
and we celebrate our 25th Anniversary with Andrew Nix in special anniversary
concert looking back on the music, the artistes and some of the society’s events
over the past 25 years .
Andrew is not only regarded as a fine musician but also a superb entertainer
famed for his sharp wit and wicked humour making him one of the most popular
artistes in the country. What better way to celebrate than with our own
President at the keyboards.

DIRKJAN RANZIJN
Another keyboard star new to our society, this friendly Dutchman has toured
throughout the UK and Europe gaining international acclaim for his dynamic and
spectacular music shows.
Dirkjan has become renowned at clubs and festivals for his energetic showmanship
and lively music played on the incredible Böhm
Excellence multi keyboard instrument.
June 17th BRETT WALES
Brett began making music at the age of 3! By the age of 11 he was performing in
concert and demonstrating organs. Later, after turning professional, Brett’s
rise to fame was meteoric to quickly become one of the most famous stars of the
organ world constantly in demand, and playing to packed venues all over the
country.
Another regular visitor to
NEDOS,
Brian has long been regarded both by his many fans and his fellow musicians as
the UK’s foremost orchestral organist.
It is Brian’s stunning orchestral arrangements that have for many years set him
apart from the field leaving his
audiences spellbound and making him one of the most outstanding and highly
respected artistes of the organ world. He is, quite simply, “The Guv’nor”!-
Don’t miss a great evening.
August 19th EDDIE RUHIER
In this age of modern electronics and computerised wizardry Eddie Ruhier is one
of the few organists whose style and sounds remain instantly recognisable.
Eddie combines the nostalgic sounds of the Hammond organ, the orchestral sounds
of modern electronics and his own amazing musical skill and dexterity to produce
the distinct sound and style that is uniquely his own.

made him a firm favourite amongst organ society and festival audiences

always look forward to his return.

Janet has entertained us here at The Markham Hall and at our Musical Weekends in

adjudicator for the British Federation of Music Festivals and an examiner for
the London College of Music and, together with her husband Neil, she also runs a
highly successful internet music business.

along and enjoy the music from one of The Blackpool Tower Ballroom’s famous
organists in the warmth and comfort of The Markham Hall when John Bowdler
